In the best tradition, our history goes back to an inventor, Karl Hettich, who found a better way of making parts for cuckoo clocks and set up a small company in the Black Forest in 1888. In 1930, the next generation took the enterprising decision to set up a new company in east Westphalia, even then a centre of furniture manufacturing in Germany. Since 1966, company headquarters have been in Kirchlengern. Today the company is again wholly owned by the Hettich family.

Our production facilities are located in North and South America, Europe and Asia. With 36 subsidiaries and partner agencies, Hettich is close to its customers in more than 100 countries around the world.
